Retraction Policy

Annals of Medical Physiology (Ann Med Physiol.) follows International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) – Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (Updated December 2019).

Research misconduct includes data fabrication (data falsification including deceptive manipulation of images), inappropriate methodology and plagiarism.

When research misconduct is alleged or concerns are raised about the conduct or integrity of work described in submitted or published papers, the editorial board will initiate appropriate procedures detailed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) (publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts) and publish an expression of concern pending the outcomes of those procedures. If the investigation proves scientific misconduct, a retraction notice of the article will be published.
